    What is LoveCinema

    LoveCinema is a technology-based social media marketing company that turns movie night into an event.  We offer movie studios and distributors targeted marketing campaigns designed to engage their biggest fan and turn them into word-of-mouth ambassadors for their films. people-powered community designed to bring film fans and the movies they love closer together.

    Launched in October, 2009, LoveCinema's integrated platform and viral tools at www.LoveCinema.com allow fans to share their love of movies from their computers and mobile devices with friends and people who care as deeply as they do about film. We encourage fans to talk about their favorite films and stars, create clubs and plan parties and social events – online and offline – around films.  movie lovers can create their own experiences – from the chatter, to the organizing and purchasing of tickets or DVDs.  LoveCinema and distributors provide the exclusives. The fans turn word-of-mouse into word-of-mouth.

    Our platform is a natural bridge between the movie industry and fans of film. LoveCinema allows fans to easily organize and spread the word about their favorite movies to an influential network of friends. Think the Oprah Book Club for film with online viral and social capabilities. We have designed the site explicitly to assist a highly sought after population of film fans to spread the word. In the process, we offer a unique, more personal, yet also more social movie experience for fans.

    More than 50,000 users have already registered to LoveCinema since we launched our social platform in November, 2009. Our Facebook application, Celebrity Friends, went live in February of that same year and Movie Buddy for iPhone will soon be available for on‐the‐go mobile community. These platforms allow LoveCinema to reach fans where they are.

    LoveCinema has been named to Red Herring's North America 100 list, a prestigious list honoring the year's most promising private technology ventures in North America.

    The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of thousands from across North America. Winners of the 2010 Red Herring 100 North America award are selected based upon their technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. Red Herring's annual lists of top private companies are an important part of the company's tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Past winners such as Google, eBay, and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work.
